Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Reason to Manim for the use of Reason to Manim. By using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

1. The service
Reason to Manim accepts a math problem, concept, or theorem as text and returns a generated explainer video together with a written explanation. The service is experimental. It has no user accounts, and a video is reachable by anyone who has its link.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or at least 16 if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you are below the age of majority where you live, you may use Reason to Manim only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You must not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable export control or sanctions laws.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit anything unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or intended to harm a person or group;
- submit personal data about other people, or any confidential, medical, or financial information;
- attempt to escape, overload, or interfere with the sandboxed environment in which generated code is rendered, or with the service's infrastructure generally;
- circumvent rate limits, use automated scripts or bots to submit requests, resell or redistribute the service, or present it as your own;
- use generated output to impersonate a person, or to misrepresent AI-generated material as human-authored where that distinction is legally required;
- use the service to build a competing dataset or model, including by systematically harvesting outputs.
We may rate-limit, block, or refuse any request at our discretion, and we do not have to give a reason.
4. Your content
You keep all rights you hold in the text you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, and process that text — and the output we generate from it — solely to operate, secure, and improve the service, and to comply with the law. This licence ends when the associated data is deleted in line with the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you submit and for having the right to submit it.
5. Our content and generated output
As between you and us, we own the service itself — its name, design, code, and documentation. We claim no ownership of the explanation text or video generated from your submission; you may use them freely, including commercially, subject to section 6 and to any rights held by third parties in material the model happened to reproduce.
6. Accuracy of AI output
Generated explanations can be wrong. The model can make arithmetic and reasoning mistakes, and a video can look authoritative while being incorrect. Nothing produced by Reason to Manim is reviewed by a human before you see it.
Reason to Manim is a study aid, not a teacher, tutor, or professional adviser. Do not rely on it for decisions that matter, and do not cite it as a source. If you are a student, follow your institution's rules on the use of AI tools — using Reason to Manim to produce work you submit as your own may breach them.
7. Availability and changes
The service is provided as-is, is offered without any service-level commitment, and may be unavailable, slow, or return a failed generation at any time. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it without notice. Generated videos expire and their links stop working; see the Privacy Policy for retention periods.
8. Fees
The service is currently free to use and subject to fair-use rate limits. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we will publish the prices, billing terms, cancellation and refund rules before charging anyone, and no existing free use will be charged retroactively.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any output will be correct or suitable for your purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reason to Manim will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost marks or grades, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Reason to Manim harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms or of applicable law, or from content you submitted.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or block access, including by IP address, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or that the service is being abused. Sections 4, 6, and 9 to 14 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the People's Republic of China have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek relief in any court with competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
We may revise these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the service, and continued use after the date at the top of this page means you accept the revised terms.
